Scott Lawton Phillips

I have over 25 years of construction related experience and the most current training in our industry which enables me to serve my clients with the highest level of service. I actually became a Home Inspector after attending the inspection for the first home I ever bought. The inspector came recommended by my Real Estate agent and was an accomplished retired engineer. Although his technical experience was vast, the inability to communicate these findings to a first time home buyer was a disconnect. I walked out of that inspection and told my wife, "I could do better than that ...".

With a background as a Show Producer for a large technical marketing company, I was responsible for communicating between our office, our clients, and the venues with which we held our marketing events. A very fast paced, client oriented service. After leaving the marketing world and becoming a carpenter, I eventually made my way into the construction and remodeling fields. I have received years of first hand technical experience of construction techniques and practices that is so important to being a great Home Inspector. This coupled with the ability to communicate this information to a first time home buyer or the seasoned real estate investor is what separates me from the vast majority of Home Inspectors.

I have personal interest in music, cooking, and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and especially horse back riding. A husband of 19 years and a dog father of a Scottish Terrier named Dryfus and a rescue mutt named Sandie, a tortoise named Frederick, plus our two horses Buster and Tanner, our life is busy and filled with great joy. I’m a regular at the YMCA in Dripping Springs for yoga classes and also a member of the Lion’s Club of Dripping Springs which provides support for many local groups and is an organization rooted in volunteers. I would welcome the opportunity to join your Real Estate team in order to serve you during your transaction.
